Description
This is a big, wall plug powered, magnetic stir plate. It takes a power adapter for 6V to operate. You can get a variable power adapter to have even more control over the speed of the motor. This magnetic stirrer can be used to do testing, reagent mixing, a simplistic kalk doser and many more! Use it to simplify your testing just like you would the small magnetic stirrer. You can also use it to mix your reagent dosing containers (like calcium, carbonate etc). Another brilliant use is to make a rudimentary kalk stirrer/doser! Using a simple Voss glass bottle (or similar) you can start preset the stirrer to a stirring rate you like and then turn it on with your favorite controller a bit before dosing! A Voss glass bottle solution is available through me if you like where I have a 1/4″ John Guest fitting installed with appropriate acrylic tubing to reach the bottom of the glass. All you have to do is fill it and go!
This stirrer is made of a PLA printed casing. It contains a high strength neodymium magnet and a high speed motor with a speed controller. The main colors it’s offered is black/orange as pictured. I could make different color combinations, just leave me a note when you order and we can work something out. Please keep in mind that the knob will be orange no matter what.
The dimensions of the stirrer are: 6 1/8″ x 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the box and the stir plate is 5 7/8″ x 7″.
What’s included:

- A 1″ magnetic stir bar (otherwise known as “pill”).
- If selected, a Voss glass bottle with an adapted cap for a 1/4″ John Guest fitting and acrylic tube.
What’s needed:
- A power adapter / power supply (suggested 6V output, 500mah, 5.5×2.1mm barrel jack).
